THÔNG BÁO VỀ NẠN DỊCH CORONAVIRUS

Tình trạng lây lan cơn dịch bệnh viêm phổi do Coronavirus vẫn còn kéo dài. Để tránh sự lây nhiễm, xin quý ông bà và anh chị em cố gắng giữ những qui định chung như sau:

• Không bắt tay nhau trong phần chào đón đầu lễ, nắm tay khi đọc kinh lạy cha, và khi chúc bình an nhưng chỉ cúi đầu hay làm một dấu hiệu chúc bình an.

• Vì lòng bác ái, quan tâm đến người khác, và để tránh lây lan bệnh cúm, khi bị bệnh cảm cúm, thì quý ông bà và anh chị em không buộc phải tham dự thánh lễ CN (KHÔNG CÓ TỘI), rước lễ thiêng liêng trong thời gian bị bệnh. 

• Nếu thấy mình có triệu chứng bị cảm cúm, thì xin tạm nghỉ, không làm việc mục vụ này cho đến khi khỏe lại.

• Những người từ Việt Nam mới trở về (Hoạc các nuoc á đông) không nên đến sinh hoạt trong các Hội Đoàn và tham dự thánh lễ. (Sau 14 ngày mới trở lại sinh hoạt bình thường nếu sức khỏe không có dấu hiệu xấu)

• Khi gặp nhau tại nhà thờ, chỉ chào hỏi và không nên bắt tay. 

• Hiện nay tại vùng South Carolina, có mấy người bị nhiểm dic̣h bệnh Coronavirus nhung mà đã và đang hàng trăm trường hợp bị nhiễm virus Influenza và nhiều người đang được điều trị tại các Bịnh Viện. Nói cách khác tại South Carolina thì FLU đáng lo ngại hơn là CORONA.
  
  Xin quỳ ông bà và anh chị em tiếp tục cầu nguyện xin Chúa ban cho các nhà nghiên cứu thuốc luôn luôn cộng tác để sớm có thuốc chữa trị cho bịnh dịch này, cũng như cầu nguyện cho các bệnh nhân và gia đình họ và những người đang phục vụ họ. Xin Chúa ban phúc lành cho Quý Ông Bà và Anh Chị Em.

WHAT PRECAUTIONS ARE BEING TAKING TO MAKE MASS AT OUR LADY OF LA VANG AS SAFE AS POSSIBLE?

We are taking extra cleaning precautions at this time. This includes:

• Wiping down all common area touchpoints (e.g., doors, light switches, pews and book holders, etc.)  with an EPA certified disinfectant.

• Placing hand sanitizers in common areas throughout the buildings

• Performing added in-depth cleaning of our facilities on a regular basis. These deep cleans may (in the future) involve closing buildings on certain weekdays, and we will include all information about scheduled closures on this webpage.

• During our Masses, we will continue using a safer way to serve communion by the means already addressed by Father David

• . We also encourage everyone to take commonsense precautions and consider using proper social distancing. 

 

WHAT PRECAUTIONS CAN PEOPLE TAKE WHEN THEY COME TO OUR LADY OF LA VANG PARISH?

We encourage everyone to take certain steps to protect themselves and others from the coronavirus, flu, and other illnesses, including:

​

• UPDATE YOURSELF ON CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) INFORMATION.

• Amidst concerns surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to let you know how Our Lady of La Vang is responding.  Most importantly – There are NO KNOWN CASES OF CORONAVIRUS AT OUR LADY OF LA VANG PARISH.

• Our staff  is carefully and continually monitoring this situation. As information evolves, this page is the primary, most up-to-date place for you to receive answers to commonly asked questions.

• We are committed to doing everything we can to provide a safe environment for our church family and surrounding community which includes canceling CLASSES OR EVENTS baring a directive from the our Diocese.

 

The CDC recommends the following actions to protect yourself and others from transmitting the coronavirus:

• Stay home if you are sick.

• Wash your hands often with soap and water.

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue then throw the tissue away. If tissues are not available, cough or sneeze into your sleeve.

HOW CAN I BETTER UNDERSTAND THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)?

• Like many other viruses, the coronavirus (COVID-19) seems to spread from person-to-person through a cough, sneeze, or kiss. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that the risk in the U.S. is still low. They will update this status regularly on their website at cdc.gov/coronavirus.
